  • Hi Misbah!

Do you remember, whether you got a BT USB dongle working?

According to few info I got on the net, CSR compatible BT USB dongles will work straightaway if BT sysgen variables are set.

But is there any sysgen var/registry settings I need to set for USB? Which USB class it will use?

Because I have a such CSR BT USB dongle. If I connect to WEC7 system, it's not even getting power!

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Keshava

  • I have tested the below USB BT dongle in CE 6/WEC7/WEC2013. This is working one.

Select Bluetooth stack with Universal loader driver and "SYSGEN_USB"

  • Hi Vinoth,

I got an USB Bluetooth dongle working on WEC7. (I don't know which is that, written "HYTECH" on it ;) ).

I checked for control panel app. (I selected Bluetooth Settings UI (SYSGEN_BTH_SETTINGS) catalog). But I din't get this on control panel. So I opened bthsettngs.exe from Windows folder.

I'm able to scan and pair to any BT device. I tested with a dongle connected PC, Laptop and an android mobile.

If I open "View" for PC (after pairing), I get only PAN (Persanal area network) option below "Select remote device services"...

I didn't get FTP/OBEX etc profile options. So I was not able to transfer a file to device.

Same happens with Laptop, instead of PAN, I see Handsfree profile!!

And for android device, I'm getting Network access point option.

What settings/configurations I may be missing?

Did you tested file transfer in WEC7? How to test this?

Any other GUI (for Bluetooth settings/connection/data transfer) is available?

    Thanks...

  • Hi Vinoth,

I tried sending file from mobile and PC to WEC7.. It is failing.. (Also, I'm not getting any notification on WEC7).

    Following sysgen variables are enabled:

    OBEX server/client, FTP server, USB host, BT stack, BTHUTIL, BTH_SETTINGS, BTH_PAN, BTH_AG, BTH_HID ...

Am I missing anything? Any registry configs i have to add?

    Thanks!
