How can 2 sharepoint designer 2007 created work flows fire on different document content types on upload to a document library? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm using MOSS Enterprise and SharePoint Designer 2007. I would like to know if what I am trying to do is possible without using Visual Studio.

So, I have 2 content types in the same document library:

    1. Document A &
    2. Document B

When I create a new Document A I want work flow A to fire and when I create a new Document B I want work flow B to fire.

Is it possible to deploy sharepoint designer 2007 work flows to different content types in the same document library?

    Thanks,

  • When you attach workflows to your document library,  you'll need to add a condition as the very first step in both workflows. They both will check if the content type is "either A or B". If the content type is A, and this is workflow B, then stop the workflow.  Same condition for the  workflow A. Stop it if the content type is B.
