The stability of several joints RRS feed

  • When using Kinect v2, several joints such as HandLeft, HandTipLeft, ThumbLeft, HandRight, HandTipRight, ThumbRight seem to be less stable than those joints such as Head, SpineShoulder, SpineMid, SpineBase.

    Are there any methods we can use to improve it.

  • A good first step is to apply a smoothing filter (see the sticky posts in the forum for usable code).

    You can do more advanced things but you'll have to come up with your own clever vector math tricks and/or inverse kinematics for example.
