In Infopath, redirect "Cancel" and "Save" button to the list view RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am not good in SharePoint, or in programming. I started using Infopath yesterday because I had to create a SharePoint list with a "save & new" button, which I managed to do, so that's great.

However I also created a "save" and "cancel" button and right now, when these buttons close the form, they send me to the homepage of the SharePoint site. This is not what I want, I want these buttons to send me to the regular list view with all the elements (it is a public list for everybody in my small company and I think everyone should be able to see what they input, without having to go through a million clicks). However, i just can't understand how to do this - everywhere on the Internet everyone talks about some kind of "source" parameter, and I have no idea what they are talking about, nor where to find it.

Could someone please help me? Thank you :)

  • Hi Penelope,

Lets assume that you have URL as:

On Clicking on this link will open the new form. Once the form is filled, Source Parameter on the query string comes into picture saying that it should take the user to Google page once the form is filled

May I know from where you are trying to open the form, say using "Add new item" in the list or using link you might have provided in some page where source is assumed to be that page.
