Link my app metro to XBox Music app (Windows 8) RRS feed

  • Hello,

    I'm making an metro application and I want to make a link to the application XBoxMusic.

    var storeURI = new Windows.Foundation.Uri("ms-windows-store:SEARCH?query=muse");


    This code open Windows-Store and make a search about "muse". I want to make similar link but with XBoxMusic. When I try

    var microsoftMusicURI = new Windows.Foundation.Uri("microsoftmusic:SEARCH?query=muse");


    The XBoxMusic application is open but the search is not made.

    Can you help me ?

    This is not really a programming question but a question about the XBOX music app.

    I do not think the app supports a search parameter.  Try it for your self... post microsoftmusic:SEARCH?query=muse into your browser and you will see the same thing.

    It does not look like the XBOX Music app publishes their syntax for their protocol activation.  I don't think there is programming or technical support for this application either.

    That said, the way you search in Windows Store apps is not to pass via protocol activation but to simply go to the app and invoke the search charm!
