Visual Studio 2013 custom installation from the command line RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello.
I need to install Visual Studio 2013 from the command line with some features (MFC C++, Microsoft Office Developer tools, Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools). In Visual Studio 2015 I installed this (and some others) features with /InstallSelectableItems parameter.

But I did not found this parameter in Visual Studio 2013. I found /AddRemoveFeatures parameter, but not found arguments for it. Can anybody help?

  • Afraid, IMO there is no such parameter in Visual Studio 2013 like in Visual studio 2015's /InstallSelectableItem parameter which lists selection tree items to check on the selection screen of the installer wizard.

/AddRemoveFeatures parameter is used to specify which features to add or remove from already installed product available in both Visual Studio 2013 and 2015.

Refer: Visual Studio 2013 silent install
