Getting error The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive

Hi,

I am making a httpWebRequest,

In the production env i am gettign the below error frequently 

"The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive"

what could be the reason for this error, anything wrong at myside ?

My code seems fine because i am able to make the request from my local and getresponse

Is it possible that it's network latency or a timeout issue?

Yes, it was because of the service being down for a while
