hyperlink problem RRS feed

  • Hello all,

    I have a table that dispays values by calling a stored procedure.
    I would like to insert an hyperlink in one of the columns which would open a document based on the value in the field.
    For example 

    http://abc.com/DocId=Docid.value

     

     if the docid is visualstudio, then the url would open http://abc.com/Docid=visualstudio

    Please help

    wil you try the following ways in your any of sample report for getting some idea to accomplish your requirement.

     example of opening outlook for mail sending:
     1.Place one textbox and put expression in value property like ="aftab.ansari@spheregen.com"
     2. open the prperty window of this textbox go through Action property and choose 'Go to URL option' and in its 'Select URL' expression put ="mailto:aftab.ansari@spheregen.com"

    example of downloading some Exec file:
     1.Place one textbox and put expression in value property like ="WinRAR download"
     2. open the prperty window of this textbox go through Action property and choose 'Go to URL option' and in its 'Select URL'  expression put ="http://dw.com.com/redir?edId=3&siteId=4&oId=3000-2250_4-10007677&ontId=2250_4&spi=c1e2b0e9d8ff0a1873350755200a2c03&lop=link&ltype=dl_dlnow&pid=10890490&mfgId=113677&merId=113677&pguid=JDSz@woPjF8AACwfvowAAADP&destUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fdownload.cnet.com%2F3001-2250_4-10007677.html%3Fspi%3Dc1e2b0e9d8ff0a1873350755200a2c03"

  • You can set a hyperlink action on the textbox in column of your table.  Hyperlinks can be expression based, so you would just need to set the value of the hyperlink to something like "=Fields!MyLinkField.value".
