Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am trying to connect mySQL with C# and trying to update some data to mySQL tables using ODBCconnection.

I am getting the following error sometimes in runtime.

"Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."

    Sometimes it was working fine.

In Debugging also , it was working fine and i am unable to trace where this error occuring.

I am using vs 2008 and Sybase MySQL.

What will be the possible reason for that ?

    Thanks in advance
    Sateesh.

  • It is a classic crash exception for unmanaged code.  You'll need help from the vendor of your dbase provider.  Post to a support forum for MySQL.  Or a Sybase forum.  They are not the same.  You won't get anywhere until you can provide them with a reliable repro for the crash.  Good luck.
