The DocumentComplete event in the Web Browser Control never fires when the HTTP response has chunked transfer encoding RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!

I'm using the web browser control to get data from public web sites and it works nicely for most sites. But, it seems to me as if the document complete event never fires when I navigate to URLs that use chunked transfer encoding.

Anyone out there know how to make this work?

  • questions about the wbc should be posted to the forum named above.

to view your wbc requests and response headers use fiddler .... http://fiddlertool.com

if you have enabled context menus in the wbc you can use the View Soruce option to view your source for injected scripts from third parties... google analytics or bmi.js from your ISP.

  • There's no reason that Chunked Encoding should have this behavior; by the time the content gets to IE/WebOC, the WinINET layer has already unchunked it and the WebOC has no idea that it was chunked to begin with.

Do you have a repro page? Is your Chunked response's last chunk being received? (Fiddler will show you this).
