You guys are a little schizo in regards to Exit buttons, aren't you? RRS feed

  • Question

  • My app shows a privacy policy on first start and offers you an option to decline and consequently exits the app. The buttons in the dialog are "Okay" and "Exit app". The first three releases, it was accepted just fine. Now I'm submitting a fourth release, and suddenly the app gets failed for a dialog that's been there since ever. Even if I remove it, how the hell am I supposed to let an user decline said privacy policy? Renaming just does the same.

  • The certification requirements are pretty clear on this. The app probably should have failed the initial releases.

You don't need to offer an exit option. Leave the dialog up until the user accepts it. If not, they can switch away or close the app themselves.
