  • Hi,

Adding “DefaultItemOpen=1” at the end of the form url tells a form to open in a browser. To generate a link to the form in your workflow email, follow these instructions:

    1. In the body of the email message, type:

    <a href=”http://yoursiteaddress?xmlLocation=

    2. Click 'Add or change lookup'

    3. Select 'Server Relative URL' from the drop down list (field from source)

    4. Finish of by typing:

The end product will look something like this:

    <a href=”http://yoursiteaddress?xmlLocation=[%Current Item:Server Relative URL %]&DefaultItemOpen=1”></a>

I usually create workflow variables for these links so I can reuse them in other workflow email messages ('Extract Substring from Index of String' action).
