Intellisense for custom library with vbscript

    Question

  • Is it possible to create a Project so you can import and reference a custom library, so you have Intellisense during code writing with vbscript?

    Sample:

    Dim Application, ActiveAddressSet, ActiveRecord
    Set Application = CreateObject("AGVIP.SQL.Application")    ' => comes from "Interop.AGVIPLib.dll"
    Set ActiveAddressSet = Application.ActiveAddressSet
    Set ActiveRecord = Application.ActiveRecord

    So if I could add reference to "Interop.AGVIPLib.dll", to make it's objects and methods available during coding via Intellisense.

    Is something like that possible in Visual Studio 2013?

  • Hi Wiztak,

    Not the real VBscript expert, but as far as I know, the VBScript supports the Intellisense in VS2013.

    Like this document:

    Even if it was about the old VS2008 version, but I test it in my VS2013, it still works well.

    But as you said that the real issue is that you want to refer to a custom library in your current VBScript project, not very sure that how you refer to it, but like the above screen shot, if possible, you could check it in your side.

    Some documents shared that we could also use the VB6 language.

    Maybe it could provide useful information for you, if I have misunderstood this issue, please feel free to let me know.

    Best Regards,

    Jack
