Visual Studio Debugger Command Line RRS feed

  • Question

  • The Micro soft compiler can be accessed using cl and the linker through link in the command line. I would like to know whether there is such a method to access visual studio debugger. (mdbg is for CLR I guess)

    thanks.

  • After you compile the application, you can start the debugger using a command like this:

        devenv /debugexe “C:\MyApplication\Debug\MyApplication.exe”

Then press <F10> to start debugging. “Devenv” can be found in Visual Studio directories.

  • As fat as I know there is no command line debugging possibility for unmanaged code.
