  • Question

  • Hi

I'm new in outlook 2013. I have an add-in. It's work perfect in outlook 2010, but when I install it on outlook 2013 it's missing some buttons. Below I'm uploading the screen shots.

Below is the screen shot of outlook 2010

Below is the screen shot of outlook 2013

In outlook 2013 under "Add Ins ribbon, 2 buttons are missing

    1. About plugin for Microsoft outlook

    2. Options

This two buttons are shows under "Menu Commands" group in outlook 2010. My question is why that group is not showing in 2013 ?

    Thanks

    Bobbin

  • in your add-in detect version of outlook and return proper xml for explotrer to show your buttons in ribbon. Even in 2010 your buttons were 'legacy' and outlook displayed them inside Add-ins tab for all plugins that did not handle properly new explorer ribbon. For 2013 it was apparently removed (as usually is with microsoft policy - mark for one version as deprecated and remove completly in next)
