createpersistentcookie doesn't seem to be working RRS feed

    I put a Remember Me? box on our login page and am passing in true to the SetAuthCookie method if this box is checked. However, it doesn't seem to be creating a persistent cookie because after a day or so the user's have to log in again. I thought the persistent cookies lasted like 50 years or so.

    Hi, thank you for the post. Is there a way to do this without writing your own cookie and using the forms auth cookie?

    Hi

    What about changing the timeout value to be longer?

    <system.web>
        <authentication mode="Forms">
              <forms timeout="50000000"/>
        </authentication>
    </system.web>

    More information about persistent cookie timeout, please view scottgu's bolg.
