Segoe UI Symbol in Toast Notifications RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am creating a Toast Notification for our application. I have got it working fine, though I am now stuck on one thing... changing the font to Segoe UI Symbol so that I can have an up arrow to illustrate the changes.

    So I have the following:

    templateContent.TextHeading.Text = "Updates to Your Summary";
                templateContent.TextBody1.Text = "Price Changes - 9 &#x25B2";
                templateContent.TextBody2.Text = "Stock Changes - 14";
                templateContent.Image.Src = toastImageSrc;
                templateContent.Image.Alt = "Placeholder image";

    Where I have &#x25B2 in the second line is where I need to change the font to Segue UI Symbol so that it can render as an up arrow symbol.

    Any suggestions would be good, thanks.

  • If you go into charmap.exe, select the text you want, then click copy you should be able to paste it in - try doing that rather than the unicode - it might work :-/

  • You want to change the font inline?

  • Thanks. That simple solution never crossed my mind! I over thinking it far too much!

    Simply copying it from the character map worked!

    Many thanks for your quick response.
