What “Default Value” is the correct one to represent “Scenarios”? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like the report “Related Work Items” to show Scenarios as default, but I can not seem to figure out what default value I should use for the parameter WorkItemTypeParam.

    [Work Item].[System_WorkItemType].[All]

This is the default value as standard and I thought it was just to change the [All] part to [Scenario] or something, but that doesn’t work.

    Regards,

  • Hi Kristofer,

The correct syntax would be [Work Item].[System_WorkItemType].&[Scenario]

  • Hi Kristofer,

A member can be referenced in MDX either by its member name or by its member key.  Member names can be duplicated, but member keys are not.  the & means that you are referencing the member key of that member.

  • Is there an easy explenation of why I need the "&" character, or are there any documentations you could recommend me to read about this?
