Accessing X12 envelope information from a Biztalk 2006 R2 map RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear BizTalk Gurus,

I have a map to convert 837 data to a proprietary flat file format and I have trading partner specific logic within the map for certain fields. The way I am identifying a trading partner is by checking the ISA06 interchange Sender ID field. When I migrate this map to R2, how would I access the envelope information from the map? Really appreciate your help on this.

    thanks.

  • As per current design BizTalk mapper doesnt support access and mapping of context props. However, you could make use of a functoid to access the context properties and map it

One such fuctoid is available at:  http://codeplex.com/ContextAccessor

  • I am facing the same scenario, the way I accomplished it was by enriching and unenriching the message, checkout the SDK for MsgEnrichment sample

  • I have a pipeline component that adds a seperate message part so you can simply add that second message part to your map and all of the data (and a lot more) are VERY easily obtainable in the map:

  • Thanks Ravi. I will try the functionoid.

Eric, I couldn't locate the pipeline from the link you provided. Will you be kind enough to provide a link to the pipeline page?

    thanks.

  • thanks vai2000. I am trying to avoid the orchestartion part. So I am going to give the functoid a try first.

    thanks
