Is it possible to refresh print preview window after it has been opened?

  • Hello guys.

I know that I can add custom definitions to the print preview window (though I still have one doubt about it which I've asked in another post) and that I can handle eventual changes made to it by handling the optionchanged event. Now, the question: is there any way to force a refresh of the preview of the content that is sent to the printer?

Here's the problem: I've added a custom item list option with two options and I'd like to change the preview presented when the user changes the option. the idea is to alternate between two document fragments, but I still haven't found any way to fore a refresh of that preview. any ideas?

  • Sorry for the delay Luis, I had to dig deep for these printer questions.

Yes, using a custom print template and the invalidatePreview method on the printer object should allow you to refresh the preview.

  • Hello Jeff.

I've tried to do that, but the handler I've passed to the createPrintTask methdo did not end up being called again...btw, in the sample I've sent you, I think there's still code which shows how I tried to do it...
