Synchronous transaction using BizTalk RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

How do we handle Synchronous transaction using BizTalk?

For, example I am sending request to BizTalk using windows based .Net application and I have to wait for response from BizTalk and display the result.

What is the best approach to implement this so that it will have minimal impact on performance?

  • Hi,

Depending on your requirement, you can either expose an orchestration as web service or you can use ESB tooklit to expose a web service.

  • Biztalk provides both Synchronous and Asynchrous communication. Read Optimizing Communication in MSDN.

  • Hi,

You will find some example of synchronous calls in this thread and my salesforce post part 1, and part 2 as example of synchronous call to salesforce. It comes down to what BizTalk is handling synchronously and how you optimize it for performance. Latter can be read Optimizing BizTalk Performance (2006 R2), Orchestration Performance (BizTalk 2009).
