ADF - Loading data from AWS Redshift to Azure SQL Database

    Question

  • Hi Folks,

I am trying to copy data from Redshift to Azure SQL DB using ADF V2. I am not able to connect to the Redshift source, every property (servername, user, password, port) information have been provided. I am receiving 'connection timed out 10060' error.

    Please help!

    Regards

  • Hi,

Is everything fine with Integration Runtime - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-factory/connector-amazon-redshift

  • Hi vidsaf,

What type of Integration Runtime are you using?  The description of the different types are here:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-factory/concepts-integration-runtime

Make sure your Redshift's cluster's Security Group allows access from your Integration Runtime's IP as described here:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-factory/connector-amazon-redshift

If you are using the default Azure Integration Runtime, you will have to whitelist the datacenter IP ranges for the region your Data Factory resides in.  Here is a link to where you can download a list of all Azure datacenter IP ranges:
