dateTimePicker value in VS 2005 & MS Access RRS feed

  • Question

I have changed the regional setting in control panel to display date in dd/MM/yyyy format. I obtained the date in Date Time Picker as dd/MM/yyyy and insert into MS Access. It works fine if date is E.G. 16/10/2007. However, if it is, for E.G. 04/10/2007, the date changes to 10/04/2007 which is MM/dd/yyyy format.

How do I solve the problem?

  • I'm not sure how you are performing the INSERT but I believe that Microsoft Access expects a format of mm/dd/yyyy for dates. If the proper format is not supplied it will swap the month and day in order make certain that the date is valid.

  • I have the same problem, I always check the content to be in Date Format but I still have the same problem each time I pass the day less than 12 it converted it to month so if the date is 11/10/2007 (11-Oct-2007) it will pass it as 10-Nov-2007

while it will pass 13/10/2007 it will pass it as 13-Oct-2007
