How to get the Expanded object detection (full depth range?) RRS feed

Answers

  • Sorry that was a mistake that we are already in process of getting fixed.

What it means to say is that we support Skeletal Tracking in v1.5 even when in near mode. (v1.0 didn't support Skeletal Tracking when in near mode).

  • Oh, that's too bad, and I already got so excited about it.

Will it be coming in future releases?

Having just one mode with the full range of the depth data would be incredibly useful. The Kinect obviously sees in a greater range, why is it being clipped for artificial min and max values?

    Thanks,

  • Pavel-

So far, we have chosen to only expose data that we believe is dependable.

We've considered (and will consider in the future) giving the full range of data, even if it all isn't as dependable as what we give now.

    Appreciate the continued feedback!
