custom ListFieldIterator control, required fields RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!

I have a custom ListFieldIterator control that's render some list forms(also there are custom templates for field rendering).

And I have a page with additional settings - different groups of users have different required fields for form filling.

So, how make my listFieldIterator to use this settings and render fields as "required" when it's needed? I know that each field has property "required" in list settings, but on my form I don't need to use this property.

I appreciate all your ideas and advices!

  • I've found a quick resolution.

So, in your custom ListFieldIterator you can set property for each field: Field.Required=true or false and this would work! It doesn't change field settings in the list, it's just set it to required at current moment. You don't need to use any javascript or any other custom solutions.
