  • Hi,

Would you mind provide more details on what solution you want to deploy to SharePoint?

Can you deploy a simple and clean solution such as visual web part to SharePoint?

Do you have the proper permission to deploy this solution to SharePoint?

In order to deploy a solution to SharePoint from Visual Studio, we need to be a member of farm administrators and the administrator of current machine.

Please ensure you use the farm administrator account and run the Visual Studio as Administrator, then try to deploy clean solution such as visual web part for a test.

Feel free to reply with the test result if the problem still exists.

  • Hi,

If you can't even deploy a simple visual web part to SharePoint 2013, I would suggest that you check whether you have configured your develop environment for SharePoint 2013 correctly.
The links below about how to configure develop environment for SharePoint 2013 for your reference:

  • I too encountered this problem but I just needed to restart Visual Studio.  Am sharing this in case it helps someone.

  • Did you find a solution to this out of interest? Am seeing a similar thing, nothing in the ULS logs, event viewer, or alike. I have to publish and activate from the UI (have tried restarting machine).

  • Fixed this by deleting the user profile of current user. This was happening due to a corrupt windows profile
