Runonce and custom shell not working

  • Hi,

After cloning image with ewf (without syspreping) the  "Windows Recovery Screen" appears at boot time
As found on the internet the following command solves the problem: rundll32 ewfcfg.dll,EwfSysprepSpecialize

Now I want to run it once at boot time on the cloned image.

The Runonce registry key works ok with default explorer shell but it is not working with customer shell.

Any Idea for alternative solution for runonce?

  • Sysprep is the best way to go. You can create an unattended file to run commands. / / Book Author - Pro Guide to WE8S, Pro Guide to WES 7, Pro Guide to POS for .NET
