Why app did not show in the windows 10 app store?

    Question

  • Hello

We have successfully uploaded our apps to the windows 10 app store.

And they can be searched successfully from the store.

But some of the apps can`t be found directly from the category page.

    For example,

One of our games is "Rage Racing 3D", you can search it from the  search bar. But you can`t find it in the Games/Racing & flying category (We`ve checked that the category is right).

And it goes to other 2 games: "Elements Defender" and "3D Zombie Wars"

What can we do to let it be shown in the category page?

(all Tests are done in the china windows 10 app store)

  • 1.Yes, we published them to china.

they can only be searched, but not shown up in the category. (test in china)

2.We have a game named "City Racing 3D", it can be found in the Top free/games/racing and flying rank, but not the Top free rank. It also goes to "Space Racing 3D".

    Thanks!

  • Here is a link from the dev center support,

Can you confirm that is this reason that our apps didn`t show up in the store lists? If this is the reason, when will they bring back the capability?

    https://blogs.windows.com/buildingapps/2015/07/24/changes-to-store-listings-and-search-algorithms/

"Lists will not include ‘top grossing.’ The lists available today include ‘top free,’ ‘top paid,’ ‘best rated,’ and ‘new and rising.’ The ‘top grossing’ app list, which is currently available in the Store on Windows 8, will be temporarily unavailable, with plans to bring back this capability in a future update."
