Assigning file name for a report to deliver via mail - SSRS 2012 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I need to know if it is possible to assign dinamically the file name for a report to deliver via mail by a data-driven subscription.

It seems that this task is not possible, while with the Windows file share option is possible.

    Thanks

  • Hi Pscorca,

In Reporting Services, the dynamic file name feature is only supported by the Windows File Share delivery extension natively when creating a subscription. In addition, you can also try the workaround posted by Sorna.

  • Hello Psorca,

The below link gives a method to change the file name.

Note : This method updates the SSRS meta data tables. Updating this tables not supported by Microsoft. Please use with extreme caution.
