Incorporating windows service and Window Driver RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good day  forum.

Am writing a DNS INTERCEPTION AND REDIRECTION project.

It has  a windows service in C# that supposed  to call a Windows Driver as  seen in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/gettingstarted/writing-a-very-small-kmdf--driver

My development  environment is Visual Studio  2015.

Would like to summarize  two statements:

    From StartServiceCtrlDispatcher function   from https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms686324(v=vs.85).aspx

"Under the hood, ServiceBase.Run() calls StartServiceCtrlDispatcher(), which calls the internal ServiceBase.ServiceMainCallback() function, which calls your OnStart() function"

"The StartServiceCtrlDispatcher() function is also indirectly responsible for calling OnStop() and all the other related methods. Basically, it's the core of the service, and without it nothing will work"

My  question is this  how do i use this StartServiceCtrlDispatcher function to incorporate both a Windows Driver (Callout Driver)
    and  a Windows service (C#).

    Thank you
