    Is there a workflow for oauth in data explorer?

    Hi Ave,

    Yes, for sources that support OAuth (such as Facebook and Azure Marketplace) you can sign in using your user and the OAuth token will be stored in your machine, so Data Explorer will remember your credentials across multiple sessions.

    Hi Miguel

    I'm trying to follow your instructions for a Twitter search (API 1.1) without any success.

    When you say "you can sign in", do you mean in Excel go to Data Explorer / Data Source Settings / Edit Credential / Basic ? 

    Or should I log on to their website using IE? 

    I don't follow.

    Also what do you mean by "the OAuth token"?  Where will it be "stored in your machine"?

    I have created an account and an application on dev.twitter.com.  It seems to suggest I should use a "Consumer key" or "Consumer secret"?  Where would I use those for Excel Data Explorer?  I tried both in the Credentials / Web API / Key field - I got the error "The credentials provided are invalid"

    Apologies for all the questions I am a SQL/reporting guy, not a web dev.
