how to monitor the "touch keyboard" state


  • "The Windows 8 Consumer Preview touch keyboard is a system component that enables users of touch devices to input text". Now I want to know the "touch keyboard" is Shown or Hidden at any particular time.Is there message when the state of touch keyboard changed.

    You can track the keyboard's state with the InputPane class.

    Thank you very much, by using "InputPane" class I have tracked the state of touch keyboard on metro style applications. Is there any method to track  state of  touch keyboard on a desk top style application.

    Windows Desktop Development Forums. If you are using a specific toolkit such as WPF or WinForms then please post in the forums dedicated to those toolkits.

    All that said, it looks like IFrameworkInputPane on the CLSID_FrameworkInputPane object should give similar information for desktop apps..
