Devfabric Table storage key length bug RRS feed

  • Question

  • According to the Azure Table Service docs the maximum length for a PartitionKey or RowKey is 1KB. But I'm testing against the Devfabric, and the limit there seems to be shorter than that. This makes it a little tough to develop apps that fully use the service's capabilities.

Looking at the SQL database that was created for me (DevelopmentStorageDb20110816) I can see that the TableRow.PartitionKey and TableRow.RowKey columns are each declared as nvarchar(256), which certainly won't hold 1KB of data.

Any chance we can get this fixed in a service release sometime soon?
