Report Viewer 10 + iTextSharp / PDFs RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey all, I know we have a pretty unique situation here but I'm wondering if anyone else has run into it or has any suggestions for dealing with it.

We have a section of code that is using iTextSharp to merge some pdf documents (initially created by the Render function that report viewer provides) into one document (via the Document.AddTemplate method) and then it overlays some graphics and text onto the final pdf and saves/prints the pdf. This all worked fine when we were using ReportViewer 9, but our upgrade to Report Viewer 10 returns blank pdfs with just the overlaid text and graphics.

Anyone else experiencing this/have any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help/commiseration,

    Mike

  • Apparently this is a bit of an older problem -

We got the latest version of iTextSharp as this fix had been implemented previously and had updated our reference, but Visual Studio 2010 apparently thought we wanted to use our old version and reassigned the reference to the older version. After moving the old version vs2010 let us assign the new version and this bug is apparently squashed. Hope that helps anyone with similar issues.
