Test application when app_offline is available

Hi,
I have a app_offline file in my website, this will show the maintenance message when we are doing maintenance .
But Our QA need to verify our changes when app_offline is available in IIS.
Please let us know if this is possible?

Hi,

AFAIK you can't. The purpose of app_offline.htm is to lock the site while it is being updated.

Changes should have been tested prior their deployment to the production site. If you want to have your own maitenance mode that would let to log some but not all users you'll have to build your own...

If you have some kind of app-offline logic, then it should be tested on the QA Web server. If that is not possible, then you use local IIS on your machine and set up the condition so that QA can test it from your machine.
