Python return blob storage RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using bottle python with Azure blob storage, so that user can download the file suing http:

    @route('/download/<filename>')
    def getDownload(filename):
        try:
            file = blob.get_blob('picture', filename)
            return filename
        except:
            abort(400, 'Download blob fail')

    When I follow the tutorial:

    blob = blob_service.get_blob('mycontainer', 'myblob')
    with open(r'out-task1.txt', 'w') as f:
        f
    .write(blob)

    The file is not completely downloaded, why?

    Thank you.

  • Hi,

    To troubleshoot I suggest you use tools like Fiddler  to check the HTTP request/response. If the request format is correct but the response is not as expected it's probably a blob service related issue. In that case, please post the request/response here for further investigation. If the request format is incorrect it's client issue and you may look into client libraries, etc. for further investigation.
