Windows/System files RRS feed

  • Question

  • I noticed in my files under Windows/System there are a lot of files that have a '$' before and after the file name.  How importane are these files and if I can delete them because they are taking up a lot of space? Thank-you for your help

  • Hi Wildolsen,

    Thank you for your post.

Based on your description, I would suspect that these files might be some temporary files for your machine. As far as I know, referring to system related files in Windows, it would be better to leave them on your PC if we're not quite sure what kind of files are they.
