Making a table in Expression RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to combine pictures with their captions in Expression so they stay together when the page is displayed in a browser. I saw no tool to make a table in the program.

    Thank you

  • Hmm... it appears that your question has gone unanswered for a few days. That's probably because you're using a chainsaw to drive screws. Expression Design, for which this forum is intended, and which you seem to be using, is a graphics editing tool, like Photoshop or Xara. It is not a slideshow creator/editor, nor a Web editor (since you said you want to display this in a browser). That is why there is no table menu in ED, and why the folks who use ED have not replied to you.

What you want to use instead is MS's Web editor, Expression Web. You can download the free EW4 SP2a, which does have a Table menu. Or, on the Standard and Common toolbars, there is a Table icon, with which you can click and drag out a table with the number of rows and columns that you want. Before you do so, click in design view where you want the table to appear, to position the cursor/insertion point properly before you release and create the table.
