Is Service Fabric Standalone free RRS feed

  • I have a confusion, is the Service Fabric Standalone package for windows server free for production environment or chargeable?

  • It means it is available for anyone to use for production use. 

    As mentioned, if you are running on prem there is no charge for Service Fabric. As long as you are hosting all the services and storage there is nothing Azure would charge you for. Again, if running in Azure you will be charged for compute power and storage and what not. But running on prem it is your local environment and we do not charge you anything. 

    If you follow the link to the preview features you will see this package does not have any preview features. However, we just make this note that when downloading the package it may contain preview features you could use if you like.

  • If you are running Service Fabric on premise there is not a cost associated with it. You just need to be sure to have the correct hardware to run whatever it is you are going to run in your cluster. 

    Of course running in Azure will have a cost associated

    mentioned as :

    what does it mean by "commercially available"?

    Is the package downloading from (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=730690) is free or chargeable for production use?

    Or Is there any other package it is referring which is having  new Service Fabric Feature in Preview
