I want to create a Custom NewForm.aspx page prepared using Visual Studio and replace the NewForm.aspx in a list. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Generally in SharePoint we have a NewForm.aspx, EditForm.aspx, DisplayForm.aspx page in a list. I created a custom NewForm, EditForm and DisplayForm as a webpart and deployed it and I replaced them in the webparts in those pages. But they don't want the webparts to be deployed in their sharepoint system. Can someone suggest how can I deploy them like applications forms or replace those pages.
Any examples of those kind can help me.

  • Hi Sasisai,

Why don’t you use SharePoint Designer to create the page? If you use SharePoint designer to create the page or change the page, you don’t need to deploy your web part to SharePoint System.

You can refer to the following link.

  • Hi,

I would suggest you to create the forms using SPD as it will be so simple.

However even if you have designed them through Visual studio and want to use them instead, open the site in sharepoint designer and copy your forms and paste them in Forms folder of the list. Then change the association in the list and it will work out for you.

I hope this will help you out.

    Thanks, Rahul Rashu
