GCM 'Notification' Payload Support By Azure Notification Hub RRS feed

  • Question

  • I started to explore Azure Notification Hub to send PUSH to Apple and Android devices. I checked for apple payload general options and its working fine. But for android payload is not supported by azure notification hub. The problem description is mention below.

According to GCM documentation android PUSH has two types of payload that are 'notification' and 'data' payload. The 'notification' payload is not supported by current version of 'Azure Notification Hub'. The GCM documentation link is mention below.

  • Hi Nitin,

We actually added this functionality last week so we support both payloads now. Please give it a try and let us know if you bump into any issues.

    Thanks,

    Mimi

  • Hi,

I am using .net sdk and after your reply i try to find sdk update. But i didn't find any. So can you please confirm how can i get the new updates?

Also I connect Azure Notification Hub through Visual Studio's server explorer and still its default GCM payload is data payload.
