     Hello,

    I receive this error, when I try to read word document using asp.net and OpenOffice. I have Windows server 2003 64 bit but server IIS is running with 32 bit mode.  I have granted permissions using
    DCOM config(OpenOffice.org1.1 Text Document). I have granted Local Launch and Local Activation rights to ASPNET and Network service; also Local Access rights too.

    My code:

    Dim oSM As Object 'Root object for accessing OpenOffice from VB
    Dim oDesk, oDoc As Object 'First objects from the API
    Dim _args As System.Array
    Dim objDummy As Object = New Object
    _args = System.Array.CreateInstance(objDummy.GetType, 0)
    objDummy = Nothing ' free ressource
    oSM = CreateObject("com.sun.star.ServiceManager")
    oDesk = oSM.createInstance("com.sun.star.frame.Desktop")
    oDoc = oDesk.loadComponentFromURL("file:///" & filepath, "_blank", 0, _args)

    Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

    Addition:

    From event log:

    The server {82154420-0FBF-11D4-8313-005004526AB4} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

    Thanks

    Sounds like you are trying to automate OpenOffice.

    Please consult OpenOffice guys on such questions, and maybe they can shed some lights.

    Thanks,

    OpenOffice has forum, but I have never got any answer from them. Please share any idea, so I can try by myself.

    Thanks again
