error SYSGEN0000: error(s) in sysgen phase RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Folks,

Wondering if you could help me.

I have just done a fresh install of VS2005 Pro, with platform builder winCE 6.0 r1, r2 and r3 then ran and installed all windows updates.

Still every time i try to build an OS design using the default settings for my BSP the build fails.

Google searches have indicated i should download and install QFE's but i cant seem to find any for CE 6.0.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Ade.

  • Yes, it does. Did you by any chance rename the BSP folder or some other file in the BSP? Is there a .bat file in the BSP's root folder with the same name as the BSP's folder? Is it a WEC7 or CE 6.0 BSP?

Maybe post the download location so me (or somebody else) can try to reproduce, or contact the BSP manufacturer (that's probably fastest and best).

  • I just downloaded a fresh copy of the BSP and ran the build.

It was succesful indicating a corrupt BSP.

    Thanks for all the assistance.

  • Show us the build log around the error (you can find build.log in \WINCE600).

  • Hi Michael,

i searched the project directory and found no build file.

The build report in VS2005 only shows one line:

    C:\WINCE600\build.log(1) : error SYSGEN0000: error(s) in sysgen phase

    Many thanks.

  • So, C:\WINCE600\build.log contains just one line with that error?

Can you try to select the CEPC BSP and create an OS Design choosing one of the templates (in the new platform wizard) and choose build solution. If that builds just fine there is a problem with your BSP (but it is strange the buildsystem only reports that one line).

  • Hi Michel

I created a new project and used the device emulator BSP instead of the third party BSP i used previoulsy.

I then did a sysgen build, the build was successful.

Does this indicate a problem with the BSP? I downloaded it from the OEM's website.

    many thanks

  • Hi Michel,

The BSP is for CE6.0 R3.

    Here is the link.

    http://www.technexion.com/index.php/support/download-center/arm-cpu-modules/tao-3530

I have just downloaded a fresh copy to see if the version i downloaded last week is corrupt.

I did not change the name of any BSP folders. I am trying a fresh build now as i am writing this post.

    Thanks for the support.
