T4, Visual Studio 2010 and SharePoint 2010 RRS feed

  • Hi All,

Today I was trying out some idea's I have for SharePoint 2010.
It involves using T4 to create strong typed lists.

First I discovered in my Console test App that I needed to target the
3.5 Framework. So oke, I did that. Then I encountered the problem
that the T4 custom tool runs in x86, which is not really that weird but
not handy when you need to access SP2010 which becomes impossible
this way. Than the T4 file in VS2010 is default targeted on Framework 4
so this can cause some incompatibility. So my issue is now, is it true
    that in VS2010 I can't use T4 on SP2010???

  • Jeroen Derde (www.twitter.com/jderde), helped me out on twitter. The conclusion is to use the SP2010 Client Object Model when using T4 in .NET.
