ASP takes a long time to load in WinCE web server RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to load ASP pages on the web server on WinCE 7(WEC7).

I am just doing a Hello World page

    <% Response.Write("Hello World") %>

but the page takes around 45 seconds to load.

Does anybody knows the reason that is taking so long?

I am using Windows Virtual PC to load WinCE so there is no problem with the connection. I can load HTML pages really quickly as well but Classic ASP is really slow for some reason.

  • I was able to install the update; however, when I am not sure how to implement the changes to my current Project Solution. I have rebuild the entire solution and made the run-time image but the 30-seconds delay still there.

  • Did you check if the time stamp of http binaries are different in public\oak\servers\lib ? Also your osdesign release module should have new time stamp of httpd.dll

  • The time stamp is still the same for public\servers\oak\lib. However, I think I figure out what the problem is. On my computer I only installed the Platform Builder, all the OS files I got from TFS Source Code server. I would have to update the files in the TFS server for the changes to occur, right?

    EDIT:

I created a new project with the update version of WEC7, and now it is working. Thanks.

PS: I don't that those files are the one that were changed; simply because the timestamp did not change and the ASP is working correctly. I don't know what files are responsible for the change. I tried switching the entire folder "server" and rebuild the solution, and still not working. Trying to figure out what files were updated.
