Is entity versioning possible? (not model versioning) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I'd like to know, is there any way to create entity versions, not only model version?

In my case, there are a number of entities, each of it represents some kind of 'directory', which are logically combined in one model, for example 'directories'. These directories are updated not simultaneously, some of them are updated yearly, some even more rarely. So, in each model version I'd like to have different versions of directories, for example in model VERSION_1 I need to have directory_1 with VERSION_1 and directory_2 with VERSION_2, etc. This is for the sake of better changes tracking in each directory.

Is there any way to do so, or maybe some workaround?

    Thanks in advance,

  • hi Irgendwo :)

no ,versions are only model based

maybe that you could create a new entity

    like entity_V1 in model_V1

    and then entity_V2 in model_V1

and then update your hierarchy to target your new entity_V2 instead of entity_V1
