Looking for code solution that advises resources when they have been removed from an assignment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Project server 2010 does not send e-mail notifications when a resource is removed from a task, although it will do so when the resource is assigned, or if the assignment is modified in some way.  What's missing is something that tells resources when they have been removed from an assignment.

Mu understanding is that this is not built in to Project Server and requires some degree of coding. Can anyone help ?  We must have something that will advise all our engineers when they have been removed from an assignment, so that they don't just blindly turn up on the customer site the following day !  (Our resources are distributed geographically, work from home, and rely on e-mail to tell them where they are going and when). For the most part Project Server does this adequately, but since these guys are working remotely they will pront a schedule every day and work to that for the following day, since internet access is not always assured.  If they at least get an e-mail advising them they have been removed from a task then they can pick this up on their phones and won't need to rely on fast internet and logging into PWA to find out !!
