Windows authentication

Question

Hi,

i got this error message when i try to access the database using SQL authentication.

Error Message - "A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 0 - No process is on the other end of the pipe.) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 233)"

Please help me out

Check whether named pipes protocol is enabled? also, check this link http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-IN/library/ms175496%28v=sql.105%29.aspx it will help.

go to sql server configuration manager, then choose sql server network configuration and make sure the correct proctocols are enabled.
