WinBioCaptureSample() doesn't work for Secure sensor (Advance mode/private pool) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I am trying to capture a sample for enrollment purpose using WinBioCaptureSample() winbio API. I am passing the correct winbio session handle.

    Here is the call which I am making.

    hr = WinBioOpenSession(WINBIO_TYPE_FINGERPRINT, WINBIO_POOL_PRIVATE, WINBIO_FLAG_ADVANCED|WINBIO_FLAG_RAW ,
            &m_nWBUnitId, 1, &DatabaseId, &m_hWBSession);

    hr = WinBioCaptureSample( m_hWBSession, WINBIO_PURPOSE_ENROLL, WINBIO_DATA_FLAG_PROCESSED,

            &nUnitId, &pSample, &nSampleSize, &rejectDetail );

    I am getting "E_NOTIMPL" from WinBioCaptureSample() call.

    Note: I am using secure sensor in advance mode.

    Thanks,

    -Aftab Naqvi

  • Hi ,

    I think your issue should be raised in the Application Security for Windows Desktop. I believe they will know more information of this issue than us, and I will move this one to that forum.

    Thanks for your understanding,

    Best regards,
    Jesse
