Windows 8 RT: Get Bing Map Extent for Current Zoom/Position RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm developing a Windows 8 (not 8.1) RT application that allows the user to scroll/zoom the map to any area on Earth. When the user clicks a button, I need a way to get the lat/long values for all four corners of the map as it is currently displayed. The position/zoom level of the map will define the bounding box for a subsequent search. I'm working in C#/XAML.

    Thanks!

Answers

  • Simply use the Bounds property of the map. This has all the information you need.
